Host Bio

The State Of The Old Republic (SOTOR) Podcast is hosted by Ted. Who am I? I’ve been playing MMO’s since 2003. I’ve been blogging and podcasting about them since 2009.

I use my real name for this podcast even though I go by Darkbrew in World of Warcraft, and my SWTOR guild mates know me by my main character, a Mercenary named Strega. I also write for a group The Cantina Cast, and I go by Ted with them.

So depending on where you lurk on the internet you may be familiar with one or more of my other ventures.

I have a blog site called The Brew Hall. On that site, I’ll occasionally write about Star Wars: The Old Republic, and the Hunter class in World of Warcraft.

In addition to blogging, I also host another podcast call The Hunting Party Podcast, which also covers the Hunter class in World of Warcraft.

In addition to my blog, you can follow me on Twitter @TheBrewHall.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Star Wars + MMO = win in my book. My first MMO experience was with Star Wars Galaxies. I did some beta testing in SWTOR, was there for launch, had a brief writing stint with Force Junkies, and attended the Guild Summit in March 2012.

I’m currently a member of the TORWars guild and I play a Mercenary named Strega. I use an army of alts and Crew Skills to turn the GTN in my personal ATM machine.

In WoW I’m very Hunter focused, but in SWTOR I take a more general approach and will write about all things SWTOR.

Star Wars

In April of 2015, I signed on to be a blogger over at The Cantina Cast. I had the pleasure of meeting the site’s founder Mike, and podcasters Joao, Becca and Ashley at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.

Twice each month, I do a Star Wars blog post on their site. I may also make the occasional appearance on their podcast as well. When any of those things happen you’ll hear about it here.

Whether you’re just finding me for the first time or have been here from the beginning, I thank you for all of your support these many years it truly means a lot.
