BioWare released concept art of Esne, the next boss in the Gods From the Machine Operation. She and her twin sister Aivela will team up to pound you and your mates into oblivion as part of your mission to put an end to Zakuul’s Pantheon of Gods.

I remember first hearing of Esne in Chapter VI of Knights of the Fallen Empire. During the encounter with the Scions, Vanat says, “The Eyes of Esne claim what can never belong to her.” To which Valkorian warns, “They speak of envy. My Son’s weakness. Do not let it be yours.”
I always liked this bit of dialogue as I really had no idea who Esne was or quite what Scions were talking about. It hit home that I really was an outlander and that Zakuul had this deep and rich history that was foreign to me. Even though I was not on Zakuul, I was still far from home, and not in control.
Esne and Aivela are sisters. Aivela is the favored daughter and Esne is envious of her because Aivela is the favored daughter. Not much is known about the fight’s mechanics, but I believe BioWare mentioned something about lasers at the Cantina Tour. While lasers are always cool, I’m hoping for a huge helping of sibling rivalry with a side of snippy back and forth banter, all to our detriment.
