Cathar have existed in the game since launch, but they were not made into a playable species until Rise of the Hutt Cartel. Since it was never envisioned that they would be playable it led to this fun and awkward moment on Ord Mantell.
In this image, the quest giver is explaining to my Cathar Smuggler who Cathar are. Way to go there Sergeant Hurd, way to go.
