Hey everyone! I am working on my next episode of the State of the Old Republic Podcast. Yes, you read that correctly, there will be a new episode of the podcast. I’m targeting next week for its release, but it’s contingent on when I’m able to get home and record.
In the meantime, there are a lot of sales and events happening in the Old Republic right now and I wanted to get that information in front of you as waiting to hear it on the podcast will be too late.
DOUBLE XP EVENT – DECEMBER 20-27TH
There is a Double-XP event happening that will end on December 27, 2022. It doesn’t take long to level up a character these days, but this definitely makes it feel like you’re moving at lightspeed. It also applies to Valor earned in PvP. A nice perk as you play your way through the new PvP Season.

I’m a big fan of the collection unlock sales. This is a fantastic time to make those mounts, armor sets, weapons, crystals, and more available to all of your characters on your account. It’s a great value and you’ll be glad you took advantage of it.
50% CHARACTER TRANSFERS – DECEMBER 7 – JANUARY 9TH
Let’s talk about character transfers and why you might want to consider one. It’s a great way to merge Legacy, Decorations, and Strongholds. That’s right when you transfer a character all of the Legacy Perks, Achievements, Decorations, and Strongholds transfer with that character. And yes, they also remain on the server your transferring from.
Regarding Strongholds, if you purchased a Stronghold with credits, you will need to repurchase that Stronghold on the new server. You won’t need to pay for any rooms that were unlocked. If you purchased the Stronghold with Cartel Coins you won’t need to repurchase it at all. And while decorations do transfer over, you will need to redecorate any Strongholds gained in the transfer.
The regular cost to transfer a character is 1000 Cartel Coins. You can now transfer a character for 500.

Life Day will run until January 10th. There are some new rewards this year. Also, the 11th anniversary of Star Wars: The Old Republic is happening, and maybe the 10th? I don’t know, that whole 10th-anniversary business was quite confusing and underwhelming. Check out the Anniversary vendor to see if there is something you don’t have.
