As far as rites of passage go, I can’t think of anything greater than getting the fleet datacron. Here are some shots from when I did it on my Mercenary. It was shortly after I joined the TORWARS guild on Shadowlands. The officers arranged an evening for members, and anyone else in the general population, to get the datacron.
It’s quite a bit of effort, and I’m amazed that players were able to solve this problem without help from the developers or data mining. At least I assume players figured this out without any help. I’m not really sure.

People constantly ask for group content to be added to SWTOR. They mostly mean Operations, but I’d like to see more community-based puzzles such as the fleet datacrons.
